Driving can be very nice in Amsterdam as the streets are all in an immaculate shape.
And also most of the Dutch drivers are excellent and very polite.

On the other side, parking is not that easy in the heart of Amsterdam and even buying some expensive parking minutes can be an unpleasant experience as these machines are not that easy to handle. Even for the younger Dutch generations, who are most obviously with the very best educated in the entire world.
Much less of a charm is the obviously the Amsterdam traffic police, which is very strict and utterly expensive.
