The construction took some 15 years and the architect of the Teatro Amazonas had been Celestial Sacardim, who had come from Italy to create this Renaissance style monument.
The unique Dome had required 236.000 ceramic tiles that were hand painted in the national colors of Brazil just to ad a special touch to the building.
