Colombo Fort is the biggest railway station in Sri Lanka, which becomes extremely busy at around lunchtime when large amounts of school kids are seeking a ride home.
Especially the 2 p.m. train to Matara is always totally packed while the early morning train is always empty and a wonderful experience when riding along the lovely coast with all the beaches.
