Otres Beach in Sihanoukville has changed a lot in recent years and that former tranquility has been turned into a line of high rises with a lovely beach front.
Also less commercial activities speak for the currently perhaps prettiest beach in the area, which offers a lot of space and clean white sand.
Happy hours and 50c beers are no longer found there and chilled venues were moved back into the center, which is no longer a village.
Swimming at Otres
The water is fairly shallow close to the beach so that some nice temperatures tange from warm to fresh depending on the season, so that also kids and less experienced swimmers will feel absolutely safe and comfortable.
