The Brandenburg Gate is certainly Germany`s most historic venue and perhaps the symbol for the cold war border, that had crossed Europe for several decades after second world war.

Now Berlin is again one city after the removal of the wall and citizens from both sides can now reflect freely on the big 2nd world war disaster which had originally started in the Berlin capitol, where surprisingly not even the name of the parliament building had been changed despite a huge amount of awkward memories with an Adolf Hitler controlling the "Reichstag".
