With former Galaxy QB Jake DelHomme one part of Dick Curl`s legendary double-headed Monster had been acquired by the Panthers, who had led the team into a great Super Bowl 2003.

Delhomme had turned down an offer from the Dallas Cowboys to become a Super Bowl starter. On board is alsoThunder`s WR Eugene Baker.

Melvin Tuten had impressed a lot at the Dragons in 1999 alongside Brandon Noble and Lawrence Phillips on World Bowl 99 Videos.

Rhein Fire`s NFL Europe defense MVP Deke Cooper and Tim Hasselbeck from Berlin Thunder had been with the Panthers 2002 whilst Corey Callens got cut. Hasselbeck had spent his previous season with the Eagles.

Former Panthers QB Dameyune Craig had created nightmares in Europe, as expressed by Cowboy Brandon Noble. But sadly enough, he only played in 4 games last season.

Other previous NFL Europe players had been QB Matt Lytle, who had won the World Bowl 2000 and Darryl Daniel from the Admirals.

With Dialleo Burks and Dusty Renfro two Rhein Fire veterans couldn`t catch a spot inside Team 2001.
